Netflix’s ‘Lupin’ Is A Fast-Paced, Fun-Filled Slice Of Escapism

Lupin has emerged as a surprise smash-hit on Netflix; the French series stars the incredibly charismatic Omar Sy as Assane Diop, a character inspired by Arsène Lupin, France’s beloved fictional scoundrel. Arsène Lupin, if you’ve never heard of him, is somewhat similar to James Bond or Sherlock Holmes, a character who always remains one step ahead of his opponents, executing pitch-perfect heists, complete with pre-planned betrayals and disastrous set-backs that, in hindsight, tend to be part of a larger plan.
