Nationals’ Max Scherzer throws no-hitter vs. Mets

Washington Nationals starting pitcher Max Scherzer threw his second no-hitter of the 2015 season on Saturday in a 2–0 win over the New York Mets. Scherzer becomes just the fifth player in major league history to throw two no-hitters in the same season, joining Johnny Vander Meer, Allie Reynolds, Virgil Trucks and Nolan Ryan, who last accomplished the feat in 1973.
