I almost died the other day while on my way to interview Al Bedell. It had been raining, and the Marcy Ave platform was rather slick underfoot as I raced to catch the oncoming M train. I ran and pivoted and slipped and would have fallen onto the tracks, had it not been for two large men who reached out from behind and grabbed me. Guys, if you’re reading this, thanks for saving my life! I would have been toast.
