Almost 70% Rise in Disney Plus Downloads Post Mulan Release

The last time Disney Plus saw such a huge spike was with Hamilton causing a 79% rise in downloads. When Mulan released on the streaming platform over the weekend the company witnessed a huge spike of 68% in downloads according to Yahoo. Mulan was set to release in March in cinemas, however, due to the pandemic, it had been delayed and was then announced a September release on Disney Plus. The film was well-received and liked by critics, bagging 77 percent critical rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
