Hollywood is quietly using AI to help decide which movies to make

The film world is full of intriguing what-ifs. Will Smith famously turned down the role of Neo in The Matrix. Nicolas Cage was cast as the lead in Tim Burton’s Superman Lives, but he only had time to try on the costume before the film was canned. Actors and directors are forever glancing off projects that never get made or that get made by someone else, and fans are left wondering what might have been.

The multi-talented artist is only a few weeks from launching her It's My Party tour, which kicks off on June 7 at The Forum in Inglewood, Calif. She turns 50 the day before the last show of her tour, which ends in Miami. Per usual, J.Lo has been hitting the gym and putting the rest of us to shame with her well-toned body that she regularly (and understandably) flaunts on social media.

New Coke Was a Debacle. It’s Coming Back. Blame ‘Stranger Things.’

New Coke, the soft drink that drew a nationwide backlash in 1985, is back. And the credit, or blame, for the return of Coca-Cola’s greatest folly goes to Netflix. A limited supply of the vintage beverage will be available starting on Thursday as part of a robust promotional campaign related to the coming season of “Stranger Things,” the supernatural thriller set in the 1980s. New Coke will also appear in several episodes of the show. Representatives of both companies said no money changed hands in that product-placement deal.

Stan Lee Was De-aged 45 Years for Avengers: Endgame Cameo

Stan Lee Was De-aged 45 Years for Avengers: Endgame Cameo

Avengers: Endgame marked the last time the late Stan Lee would appear in a live-action film with one of his legendary cameos. As his Endgame cameo took place in 1970s, Lee was de-aged some 45 years so that he would appear as a younger version of himself. The vendor tasked with de-aging Stan's cameo was none other than Lola VFX, the one firm that's perfected the de-aging process for Marvel Studios. We spoke with Lola's Trent Claus earlier this week and talked all things Endgame, including the firm's de-aging process 22 movies later.

Tangled Up in Blue: Deciphering a Bob Dylan Masterpiece

Dylan’s “Tangled Up in Blue” strikes a middle point between his more surreal lyrics of the ‘60s and his more straightforward love songs, and as Polyphonic’s recent video taking a deep dive into this “musical masterpiece” shows, that combination is why so many count it as one of his best songs.
