Josh Smith, who signed with the Los Angeles Clippers this month after spending last season split between the Detroit Pistons and Houston Rockets, said at his introductory news conference earlier this week that his lower salary will be “harder” for his family. Smith’s contract with the Clippers will pay him $1.5 million next season.
