Conservators in the Gladys Brooks Book and Paper Conservation Laboratory are investigating conservation treatment options for a 17th-century Parisian imprint. As part of this process, they undertook an examination of a significant portion of The Academy’s early modern parchment volumes and became fascinated with a particular binding style—known as a semi-limp parchment binding.
