Jamie Hewlett, artist behind the animated band Gorillaz, confirmed on Friday that the group would be reuniting. For the past few months, Hewlett’s co-creator, Damon Albarn, had been hinting at a reunion, but it wasn’t confirmed until Hewlett posted artwork of the animated band members, Murdoc and Noodle, on his Instagram. After a fan’s question regarding whether this signified a reunion, Hewlett answered, “Yes Gorillaz Returns.”
