Rockstar Games is updating its website with mysterious new imagery

Rockstar Games, developer of acclaimed open world titles like GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2, has been updating its website with a number of interesting new images, leaving fans to speculate what could be in store for the studio's future. The first newly discovered piece of artwork, depicting what can only be described as a female Oscar android hugging the famous Rockstar "R" next to a bucket of champagne, appeared on the site earlier this week, originally written off as just another decoration to embellish the web page's side bar.

Back To The Future Writer Says A Reboot Is Not Happening. Ever

Co-writer for Back to the Future Bob Gale has laid all his cards out on the table. And he’s told us very bluntly that he is not accepting pitches for Doc and Marty to return to the big screen. Ever. He said, “You know, you don’t sell your kids into prostitution. It was the wrong thing to do. We put ‘The End’ at the end of part three.”

8-year-old cello prodigy played Carnegie Hall and performed with the Moscow Symphony Orchestra

Cameron Renshaw has been playing the cello since he was five-years-old. While he uses a smaller version of the instrument than adults, his cello, which he named Spotlight, is still almost as big as he is. The nimble-fingered eight-year-old has been racking up music titles over the last few years - beating out other kids from all over the world. “I love playing on the stage,” Renshaw said. “I do not feel nervous at all. All I feel like is I need to give that audience my all.”

Hulu is now the biggest live-TV streaming service after Sling subscribers shrink

Hulu is now the biggest live-TV streaming service after Sling subscribers shrink

Hulu is now officially the top live TV streaming service, overtaking Sling TV for the first time last quarter. Dish Network reported this morning that its Sling TV service finished Q4 2019 with 2.59 million subscribers, having lost 94,000 subscribers from the prior quarter. Hulu + Live TV, meanwhile, continues to grow, finishing last quarter with a record 3.4 million subscribers. The next closest streaming bundle competitor is YouTube TV with two million subscribers. Both Hulu + Live TV and Sling TV raised prices in Q4, but not until late December, so the full effects of those price hikes probably won’t be felt until next quarter.

Why I Call Myself a Socialist

In most reasonably large towns in the United States and Europe, you can find, on some important public square or street, a professional theater. And so, in various quiet neighborhoods in these towns, you can usually also find some rather quiet individuals, the actors who work regularly in that theater, individuals whose daily lives center around lawns and cars and cooking and shopping and occasionally the athletic events of children, but who surprisingly at night put on the robes of kings and wizards...

The use of jargon kills people’s interest in science, politics

When scientists and others use their specialized jargon terms while communicating with the general public, the effects are much worse than just making what they’re saying hard to understand. In a new study, people exposed to jargon when reading about subjects like self-driving cars and surgical robots later said they were less interested in science than others who read about the same topics, but without the use of specialized terms.
